Where’s the best furniture store? The best furniture store often depends on the look you’re trying to achieve. For example, farmhouse versus modern furniture are rarely sold at the same furniture store. Needless to say, you may have to consult more than one store to achieve your look.
The first tip is that the inside and the outside of the home create a coherency.
You may want to contact an interior designer for a fresh set of eyes and trained point of view. In the Roaring Fork Valley and Western Slope there aren’t many furniture stores to choose from. Check out Restore on Hwy 82 as you’re leaving Glenwood Springs approaching mid-Valley.
Glenwood Springs has Roaring Fork Furniture.
In New Castle, check out Rustic Furniture Designs!
If I were creating my dream furniture store, I would start with farmhouse furniture on Pinterest If you search something like cabin furniture, there is shop and explore at the top as choices, depending on if you’re shopping or exploring.
Since Facebook is now everything to everyone, search furniture in Marketplace and you can find deals near you. Search furniture then select groups. Around here you’ll find Western Slope Furniture, Garfield County Furniture is a public group. Grand Junction Home Decor and Furniture is another group to join.
When I see people’s homes, 9 times out of 10, there is too much furniture. The house looks more spacious when there’s space. Check out my staging guide for tips.
Eliminate is only the first rule of furniture in your home. Marie Kondo made a sensation with the idea of chucking it if it doesn’t bring you joy, but its more about not having too much stuff to deal with, getting down to the necessities.
Ok, so less is more. Figuring out what the best furniture store is becomes downright existentially serious when we consider it from these perspectives– “The question of what you want to own is actually the question of how you want to live your life.” – Marie Kondo. Design is coming to grips with one’s real lifestyle, one’s real place in the world. Rooms should not be put together for show but to nourish one’s well-being. – Albert Hadley Your home should be a story of who you are, and be a collection of what you love.– Nate Berkus “There is no furniture so charming as books”, I’m inclined to agree with Sydney Smith here.
Getting rid of books feels Farenheit 451. I donated some books to the library and regretted it, thinking that others will not love them as much as I did. Now they are resigned to the “forgetterary” as one professor of religion called the library.
Finally, when you’re getting restless in your square feet, and tired of looking for the best furniture store, then you can simply rearrange all the furniture in your home to see if it gives you a fresh perspective on designing your life. In fact, if you think of store as in storage, that’s sort of what a house is, a furniture store.
